Ordsall boasts two primary schools. St Joseph’s RC Primary School caters for boys and girls from the ages of 3 to 11 and in 2007 achieved OFSTEDs highest inspection rating, Grade One (Outstanding). This places it in the top 100 best performing primary schools in the UK.

Ordsall’s newest school, Primrose Hill, opened its doors in September 2007 and is the amalgamation of Radclyffe Community Primary School and St Clements Egerton CofE Primary School.

This £6.5m school, which was part funded by LPC Living, has 280 pupils with a capacity for 360 as more families move to Ordsall.

In 2011 a secondary academy is set to open on Trafford Road for 11 to 18 year olds. Oasis Academy MediaCityUK will specialise in IT and media education with dedicated radio and TV studios for its 1,100 pupils. For more information visit oasisacademymediacityuk.org.
